The world of work doesn't have to be complicated or confusing.
Launch with Julie is a comprehensive career launch program for young adults who are ready to enter the workforce.
~~~~~
It happens over the course of an intensive 3-day, 2-night retreat designed to immerse the participants in the experience, and fully engage them in the program components.
~~~~~
Career planning is a serious thing, and takes professional guidance. This retreat is a once in a lifetime chance for them to get real help from a highly experienced expert at the perfect time in their careers - as they are beginning it.
~~~~~
Each participant will take a battery of career assessments to discover their own strengths, interests and aptitudes, how they fit into the world of work, and what those job titles are.
~~~~~
Participants will hear directly from professionals and hiring managers in the real world, while gaining access to a private job fair created just for them.
~~~~~
Then, they will build their career goals into a resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile and job search.
~~~~~
They will also go through interview prep with real hiring managers, so they know what to expect and how to respond.
~~~~~
Building a career takes self-awareness, planning, and confidence. This program does just that.
~~~~~
Is your young adult ready to launch?
The workshop kicks off with an orientation to the world of work. Then, a fun and interactive group activity shows everyone what their natural strengths are. Participants take a battery of career assessments showing them how college majors and interests align with career pathways.
On Day 2, participants write their resume, LinkedIn profiles and cover letters. Learning how to use keywords and navigate job postings, they build a job search strategy. We finish the workshop with interview prep and real feedback from employers, to maximize job search confidence.
The magic happens on Day 3, because we bring your career path to life. Hiring managers illuminate what they are looking for in a robust speaker lineup, which happens alongside a private career fair with corporate hiring managers looking to hire from our pool of participants.

Young adults between the ages of 22-27, with or without a college degree, who are making their initial steps into the world of work.
All young adults between the ages of 22-27 are a fit for this program. They DO NOT have to have attended college to enroll and succeed in this program.
That is perfectly fine. As long as they are in the initial stages of their career, they are a fit. If they graduated 3 years ago and have had a job or two, but are still struggling with direction, this workshop is for them.
Absolutely. I will be working with each student individually over the course of the 3 days to make sure they have a clear direction. No one is left behind.

We can probably work around that. Please email me at julie@julielacroix so I understand what the student will miss, and I will work with them separately to be sure they are on track.
We all are!
Meeting new people is both exciting and challenging. This is not a yoga retreat or a social retreat. This is a professional endeavor to help your grad get the serious help they need to successfully launch their career.
I set a cohesive, friendly tone and a clear message that we are here to embrace and support one another. Differences, diversity and demographics exist in the workplace, and this is a great opportunity to learn to work side by side with a variety of people in a productive and enjoyable way.
Please do this for your young adult. Everyone needs the help, and I will be sure they get it.
You are not dressing to impress, but put a little effort in to how you present yourself.
It's ok to take business casual down a notch. Be comfortable. I do not recommend uncomfortable clothing or shoes, as this will be an intensive program. We are moving around a lot on Day 1 and sitting at a desk a lot on Days 2 and 3.
UNACCEPTABLE:
Business casual IS NOT short-shorts, cutoffs, tank tops, baseball caps or revealing clothing.
ACCEPTABLE:
Try khakis, cotton pants, nice jeans, collared or polo shirts, sweaters or comfy tops/blouses.
SHOES:
I'm ok with sandals, flip flops or nice tennis shoes. Try a little, but stay comfortable.
WARMTH:
Bring a sweater or sweatshirt in case the A/C cranks on.
Yes.
In a nutshell, everything that comes with career alignment:
You know, there's nothing more relieving, satisfying, interesting, or confidence-building than being on a path toward becoming who you've always known you are capable of being.

“In a single session, Julie helped me to understand more of my full potential, and gave me real practical steps to follow in order to successfully launch my career plan.”
“Julie LaCroix is the difference between me and all my unemployed friends, even a year after graduating from college. With her guidance, some persistence, and a little luck, I landed a great job straight out of school that really suited my talents and skills. She’s a fantastic resource for anyone that’s looking for real industry insight and personalized career advice. And for any upcoming or recent college grads, she can provide you with more direction to your job search than any college course or career center ever could.”
“I happily accepted an offer and this EXACT position I wanted, with the EXACT company I wanted to work for. I am forever grateful to you.”
“Julie is the best! I came to her 4.5 years ago for career guidance, and I just returned for a follow up as I’m steering in a new direction. Not only did she remember me from all those years go, we picked up right where we left off. If you’re struggling with what’s next and feeling hopeless, just see Julie! It’s an hour that’ll make you wonder why it took so long to schedule an appointment. Family and friends are great to speak with, but Julie is a kind-hearted professional that will cut out all the fluff and get you where you need to be.”
“The seeds you planted for my sons, who are now in college, and the rest of the crew two summers back were truly a gift. You made a rich contribution to their futures!!”
“I love Julie – Kind, considerate, professional, sweet and she cares. Did I mention so very talented – she was instrumental in helping me find my first job after college.”
“I wanted to give you an update and let you know I started my new job today! I wanted to thank you again for your help with my resume and getting me started. Your guidance and insight were invaluable!”
“Julie is remarkable. Could not recommend her enough. I was stuck in a job I hated with no path of how to get out, if I needed to switch industries or even where to start. Her approach is kind and consultative and I left with a huge confidence boost not only for my direction but to everything else around me. If you open up to her and tell her your pain points, she knows EXACTLY where to take it. Her mind works at 100 MPH and the ideas flow out of her. She shifted through every single skill set of mine and job I had ever done, pin pointed specific areas and within an hour, told me exactly where I needed to be. (Part of me knew going into my first session where I needed to be, but she laid out EXACTLY how to get there.) She’s extremely smart, well read and knows just about every industry out there. There is no one she can’t help in some way. She also revised my whole resume and cover letter. Julie is the absolute best and if you have ANY doubt about your career, skill set or future, I HIGHLY recommend her. There is nothing she can’t fix!! Thanks Julie!”
“I have neglected to thank you for your help with my son, but he is fully employed with a large national company in his field of interest! He was told he was exactly the kind of person they wanted. Your help was critical. He said the best part was the boost you gave his confidence. This job is great and has opportunity for variety, learning new skills on the latest equipment, and advancement. He enjoys the job very much and is being promised a promotion to heading a crew soon. He says he really likes the people he works for and with, and it all seems a perfect recipe for success. Thank you. We are so glad we found you. He had lost a lot of hope. Now he feels he has a career path ahead of him.”
I'm here to help you, so please feel free to reach out.
